  • Administered quarterly curriculum for team development that facilitated the personal and professional growth of 6 staff members through weekly meetings, writing assignments, retreats, and creative projects.
  • Conceptualized and edited the first WSP literary magazine, featuring the written and visual work of staff in a sleek, creative layout, to distribute as promotional material in both print and digital formats.
  • Spearheaded workshop component (8 events /year), delegating content planning, marketing, and logistical operations among staff.
  • Co-wrote and presented the Academic Year Budget Proposal to ensure fair and proper distribution of funding.

  • Consulted with writers and sponsors by phone and email to assist in navigating technical issues on the website to ensure the timely completion of online grant applications and reports.
  • Wrote a blog post, featured on the Poets & Writers, Inc. website, to endorse the Readings & Workshops program and to garner support for local arts groups.

  • Directed marketing efforts by generating flyers and establishing a social media presence to promote institute events such as competitions, silent auctions, and raffles and to engage with current and prospective LASI participants.
  • Assisted Program Administrator in institute registration and office management, ensuring proper distribution of information and materials to all participants, staff, and faculty.
  • Reviewed approximately 40 post-institute feedback surveys and compiled a comprehensive report detailing the institute’s strengths, challenges, and possible improvements for the director and SMACLA’s reference.

  • Composed weekly blog posts on writing, literature, current events, and pop culture for a global audience to popularize the program and increase its impact on campus and beyond.
  • Revitalized online presence by redesigning the blog, running social media campaigns, and sending e-newsletters.

FRONT DESK ASSISTANT

UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music

  • Assembled class sets of course materials for HASOM faculty, such as orchestral scores, packets, and exams.
  • Directed student and visitors to the departments and resources that addressed their concerns, decreasing walk-in traffic.
  • Generated via Microsoft Excel an updated database of faculty and staff contact information, teaching schedules, and office locations, allowing students to more efficiently communicate with professors and HASOM personnel.
